Second
City's Ha Ha Christmas in Arlington Hts. (thru
12/30) by Al Bresloff
The Metropolis Performing Arts Centre located
in downtown Arlington Heights appears to be
rocking with laughter due to the very funny
young touring Second City's Dysfunctional
Holiday Revue, a funny evening of satire,
skits that will make fun of families, co-workers,
holiday events and classics. This is just
plain fun! Fun! Fun! This fine cast of improv
artists will make you forget about the shopping
you need to do, the chores that you have neglected
and the normal stress of the season. Sit back
with a drink and just enjoy.Of course the
best parts of this type of show are those
that are planned and perfected, but, these
performers truly handle the audience participation
sections with very finely thought out quick
improv's. You can see the wheels turning as
each is trying to think how the other might.
They have as much fun doing this portion as
we do (and after all they deserve some laughter
as much as we do).
Allison
Bills, Tom Flanigan,Megan Grano, Rob Janas,
Jonathan Keaton and Beth Melewski are a fine
group of young and talented comics.Directed
by Greg Mills, this show flows quickly. The
show will run through December 30th with performances
as follows:
