Frequently asked questions?

Do I need a dance partner? A Dance Partner is recommended but not necessary.

How should I dress? We recommend you dress comfortable. Jeans, a Skirt, Suit, Jump suit, whatever makes you feel good.

What kind of shoes should I wear: We recommend you wear the type of shoe you would normally wear when you go to a party or wedding or an occasion where shoes are called for. There are dance shoes and professional dance shoes that can be purchased inexpensively for as little as $20. Sneakers or Gym shoes are not recommended, but acceptable.

MICHAEL ANGELO'S BIO: Michael Angelo Mendez is a young, up and coming, talented Dancer, Instructor, Performer. Michael Angelo has trained with his father Miguel Mendez and with Chicago's Sekou McMiller. Michael Angelo is a former member of Chicago's Descarga Caribe Dance Company and performed at the 2005 Chicago International Salsa Congress.

In 2007, Michael Angelo taught at Chicago Summer Dance lesson along side his father in Chicago's Grant Park and also performed live onstage at Viva Chicago with his partner Maricela Wilson.

Michael's desire and enthusiasm for learning and teaching is addictive. He brings a young and fresh approach to the dance.

CLASS POLICY: By preregistering, you have selected to take classes with Michael Angelo. You can attend any of Michael's classes. This registration is strictly for Michael's classes and will not be accepted as pre payment by any other Dance Academy of Salsa instructor under any circumstances.
