BIO

The "SalsaChicago Mambo All-stars Orchestra" was started in 2006 by Chicago Salsa Instructor, Promoter and background vocalist Miguel Mendez.

Miguel is one of Chicago's most recognized Salsa Instructors with over 18 years of teaching experience and has taught tens of thousands of Chicagoans how to dance. For the last several years, Miguel has been honing his vocal abilities as a background singer with the SalsaChicago Mambo All-stars.

The remaining musicians come from a vast pool of highly talented Chicago musicians and lead vocalists which include Mr. Frddy Kenton, Tato "Suave" Otero, Efrain Otero, Jose Porcallo, Omar Guzman, Raul "Timbal" Ortiz, Bryan Izkowitz, Jr. Mendez, Miguel Olavaria, Marvin Santiago, Susan Cho, Richard "Richie" Flores and many more.

The SalsaChicago Mambo All-stars play a vast repertoire of music including Original compositions and Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Mambo, Latin Jazz, Boleros, Cha Cha Cha, Guajiras, Cumbias and more.
